A Progressive Web App (PWA) is a hybrid web page which can be downloaded to your device just like a native APP and is designed to mimic a native APP user experience.

Why Not a Native App?
Shovel has a native app for iOS and Android, but it is made for smaller devices, NOT tablets. We are still a small team and a native app specifically for tablets will take longer to develop.
But with the Shovel PWA, you get full power of Shovel on your Tablet.
How to Install Shovel PWA on your iPad?
For best Shovel experience on your iPad:
- Open Safari on your iPad
- Go to dig.shovelapp.io
- Tap the Share button in Safari (top right corner)
- Tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Tap "Add" (top right)

- Open Chrome on your Android tablet
- Go to dig.shovelapp.io
- Tap Settings (top right corner) on Chrome
