Connect Brightspace to Shovel

Seamlessly import your Brightspace assignments and events into Shovel. Be aware that Shovel cannot see courses with no assignments or deadlines. If you don’t see a course, it’s probably because your professor did not create any in that course. Ask your professor to do so. Shovel will sync automatically every 24 hours. If a deadline changes or new tasks are added, Shovel will reflect the change. If new courses are detected, Shovel will let you add them as well.

1. Log into Brightspace

2. Go to Calendar

3. Click on Settings

4. Enable Calendar Feeds (if not checked already)

Don't forget to save.

5. Click on "Subscribe"

6. Select Course

Or leave "All Calendars and Tasks" to import all courses at once

7. Copy Link

8. Paste Link Into Shovel

9. Click Continue

10. Select Which Course(s) You Want to Connect to

11. Add to an Existing Shovel Course (Optional)

12. Rename and Change Color

Shorten the name a pick a color you like.
